Fundraising Lunch at the Marcliffe of Pitfodels Hotel
The River Dee Trust held a fundraising lunch on Sunday 29th November for approximately 170 people. The event was provided most graciously by River Dee supporter Mr Stewart Spence who is the proprietor of this world famous hotel & spa. The event was superbly marshalled by the team at the Marcliffe where the guests enjoyed a fabulous lunch & refreshments.

The event was led by River Dee Trust chairman Mr Ian Scott and saw guest speaker, and Aberdeenshire Provost Mr Bill Howatson provide a thoughtful and well received speech supporting the River Dee Trust's ongoing efforts. There followed a highly entertaining auction and raffle with well known celebrity speaker Mr Peter Mitchell extracting an excellent sum of money from the assembled guests to support the event.

The images of the Dalmore Dee Dram were unveiled to the assembled guests by Lorraine Hawkins and Ken Reid. This took place whilst Jim Coates , Head Of Brand for the Whyte & Mackay group spoke passionately about his desire to provide support for the River Dee stocks and the River Dee Trust's conservation, education and enhancement work.The event drew to a close when Mrs Serena Humphrey thanked assembled guests for their support.
