Fashion's A Keeper - Raises Funds for River Dee Trust

October 28, 2016

A big thank you to everyone who came along to Fashion's a Keeper show last Friday in aid of River Dee Trust. Held in Finzean Hall, the show transformed Dee ghillies  Will and Al Peake, gamekeepers from Grampian Moorland Group (and their dogs) into catwalk models for the evening- we even managed to get our River Director, Mark Bilsby to take a turn on stage!

The show, organised by local artist and River Dee Trust director,  Mel Shand, was a sell out. The audience enjoyed an entertaining evening including a delicious Game Supper, prepared by Buchanan Food before watching the models showcase the latest in country fashion from outdoor clothing specialist Country Ways of Aberdeen. Owner Rosemary Michie and her team excelled themselves and delivered a professional show, which helped the Trust raise a four figure sum to help with education and habitat restoration.

Mark Bilsby said, " We are really fortunate that so many people on Deeside have such a strong affinity with the river.  The strength of community and togetherness on Deeside is second to none and the Trust is fortunate to enjoy the support of so many wonderful partners. It was such a fun evening, which was only made possible by the sterling efforts of lots of different people."
