Fish Disease

July 26, 2020

Eight salmon and one sea trout have been recorded with signs of ‘red skin’ disease that was reported first this year in Ireland and is likely the same disease reported throughout Scotland last year. At the time of these occurrences, the Fish Health Inspectorate were not able to sample the fish due to Covid-19 working restrictions. They are now available to sample any further diseased fish caught on the Dee and ghillies have been informed to contact the River Office to arrange this.
