Carol joined the River Dee team in 2012 and has come from a background of many years of administrative work, including with other District Salmon Fishery Boards.

Victor is a keen salmon fisherman and is a proprietor on the River Dee at Knappach. He has many years of experience within the finance industry.

Edward is the Chairman of the DSFIA and Director of FishDee Limited since 2003. He is the proprietor of Dinnet and manager of Aboyne Castle beats, and is a keen angler. Edward is a very active person with the river board team and has provided invaluable support and encouragement where he can which is widely acknowleged and appreciated.

Board member

Iain is a partner in Atholl Sporting and was formerly chief executive officer of FishPal Ltd and has over 15 years experience in the salmon letting business. He is also a keen salmon angler who fishes the length and breadth of the UK and abroad enthusiastically (and occasionally successfully).

Angling Representative

Craig Fleming is the Anglers’ Representative approved by the Associations. Craig is a very keen salmon angler who spends most of his spare time on the river somewhere. He has a passion for introducing and encouraging newcomers into the sport and is part of the Aberdeenshire Fly Fish 50 group and a committee member of the Aberdeen and District Angling Association.

Gavin Clark

NatureScot representative

Gavin Clark is the representative for NatureScot. NatureScot is a non-departmental public body and the government's advisor on nature conservation matters. The River Dee's status as a Special Area of Conservation under the Habitats Directive, with salmon, otter and freshwater pearl mussel all being recognised features, means that the Board has a key role in promoting sound management and NatureScot is pleased to be represented. Gavin is an Operations Manager for Tayside & Grampian Area.
