Fisheries Management Planning

The FMP is our main planning tool and sets out our aims and objectives

The Fisheries Management Plan plan describes the goals of the Board and Trust and the actions that will be undertaken to protect and restore populations of native fish and their habitats in the River Dee.

The plan sets out how we will protect and restore fish stocks and develop a thriving commercial fishery. It describes the immediate action we will take to conserve salmon and support fisheries in the short term. In the long term, our focus is to preserve and, where necessary, restore a river ecosystem facing the ruinous impact of climate change. Everyone who relies on the waters of the Dee will benefit.
