Ian Scott Chairman
Chairman Dee River Board & River Dee Trust Ltd. Member of the Executive of Association of Salmon Fishery Boards. Chair of Joint Management Group formed by the Dee Board and Trust. Retired Managing Director from the Banking and Financial Services sector. Passionate Salmon angler and keen conservationist,as well as being active on river, he is chairman of the Aboyne Highland games. Ian brings a wealth of commercial experience and expertise to the river Management organisations and has tremendous drive and vision.

Willie Banks
Willie Banks is the owner of Tilbouries beat on the lower Dee system, and is a well known "AAPGAI Master instructor". Willie Banks is a passionate salmon angler and instructor who has a deep affection for the river,salmon and the environment and is a an accredited Rio Pro Guide. He has had an extensive and successful business career and is widely respected locally and nationally.

Will Boyd-Wallis
Will is the Senior Land Management Officer for the CNPA. By representing CNPA on the Dee Fishery Board he hopes to provide a useful point of contact for riparian owners to ensure good dialogue over future issues of importance to the Dee. He came to the Cairngorms after ten years of working across the Highlands and Islands for the John Muir Trust. Firstly as Conservation Manager for Sandwood Estate (at which time he sat on the North-West Sutherland Fishery Board) and latterly as JMT’s Policy and Partnerships Manager.

Victor Beamish
Victor is the proprietor of Knappach fishing beat in the lower river and is a strong supporter of the River Dee Trust. Victor is a keen salmon fisherman and helps with fundraising activities for the river.

Simon Blackett
Simon Blackett has been factor of Invercauld Estate for past 13 years and manages about 35 kms of the Dee and several of the important western tributaries. He is a Board member of Braemar Community Ltd and Crathie Opportunity Holidays (disabled holidays charity) He is a member of the Cairngorms Local Outdoor Access Forum, chairman of local branch of Royal Scottish Forestry Society and treasurer of Braemar Community Council.

Edward Humphrey
Mr Edward Humphrey is the Chairman of the DSFIA and Director of FishDee Limited since 2003. As the proprietor of the Dinnet and Aboyne Castle beats, he is a keen angler with a young family. Edward is a very active person with the river board team and has provided invaluable support and encouragement where he can which is widely acknowleged and appreciated.

James Burnett of Leys
As well as being a landowner and fishing proprietor of the Crathes beat at Banchory, James is the representative for the Harbour Board on the Dee Board. He is the Chairman of the Bancon Group of companies, although he does not consider himself to be a business man. In his spare time he enjoys, shooting, tennis and golf.

David MacDonald Anglers Representative
David is a retired Grampian police officer and stood down in December 2010 as secretary to the 200-member Stonehaven and District Angling Association after holding that post since 1984. Whilst president of the Scottish Anglers National Association, he was a member of the Scottish Salmon Strategy Task Force chaired by Lord Nickson. David is mandatory for the ASCT(S) in respect of fishings which include the Bridge of Cowie salmon netting station, bought out in 1995 following SDAA research and finance which was later underwritten by the DDSFB. He has penned a weekly angling/natural history column for 23 years in the Mearns Leader newspaper and fishes regularly on the Dee.

Alastair Hume
Clerk to the Board
Alastair is a retired Bank Manager who, as President of The Aberdeen and District Angling Association is their representative on the Dee Board. He is also member of The Don District Salmon Fishery Board, The Migratory Fish Committee of the Scottish Anglers National Association and The Ythan District Salmon Fishery Board.

Robert Dey
Robert is a retired Insurance Claims Consultant. He is the current President of Aberdeen & District Angling Association which has a membership of over 1000 anglers and are proprietors on the Rivers Dee, Don and Ythan, with over 35 miles of river bank under their ownership and control. Robert is currently a member of the Don and Ythan District Salmon Fishery Boards, a Director of the River Don Trust and a member of the SANA Migratory Fish Comittee.

SEPA
As a major governement agency, and working closely in conjunction with River Dee Management operations, it is important that this organisation works harmoniously with the Board. By having a representation at this level it ensures there is greater understanding, and scope for efficiency in working together through out the river valley.

Linda Mathieson
Linda is the representative for Aberdeenshire Council on the Dee Board.
