A Look Back at the Opening Ceremony

By this time next week, we will be celebrating the first salmon of the new season. Sadly, our celebrations will be muted this year due to COVID.

The opening ceremony held at Banchory Lodge Hotel and Lower Blackhall & Banchory Fishings is a big event, which brings the Dee family together to reconnect and celebrate the promise of the season ahead. But we all have to play our part and sit tight this year.

Living River Festival

The Callum Mackenzie Cup is awarded by Ballogie Estate Enterprises for the most notable fish, of any species, caught by a youngster within the Dee catchment, including Rivers Cowie and Carron or one of the many trout fisheries in the district.
